I’m Heidi Colberg, and I’m excited to be a part of Handley High School as a Special Education Teacher. I have 5 years of experience in special education. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

My journey in education began with a deep commitment to understanding and meeting the diverse needs of students. I hold a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from The College of St.Benedicts and I furthered my education at Bethel College and received my teaching credentials in Special Education. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students across a variety of grade levels and learning needs, and each experience has deepened my belief in the potential of every learner.

In my classroom, I focus on individualized instruction and collaborative learning. I work closely with students, their families, and other educators to develop personalized strategies that support academic achievement and personal growth. My goal is to empower students to become confident, independent, and successful individuals.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy knitting, sewing, reading, traveling and gardening, which helps me stay energized and inspired.
