The Special Education Department at John Handley High School is committed to providing free, appropriate educational opportunities for all students with disabilities. We are committed to providing a continuum of services for students who are found eligible for special education as identified by the Virginia Department of Education per the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Our team’s mission is to educate students in a way that accommodates their individual differences and special needs and to assist them in planning their future after high school.
