    All students from John Handley High School thrive in the world through a lifelong love of learning and engagement in healthy relationships. They are bold enough to achieve their dreams, while also being able to pivot with life’s changes and challenges.

    JHHS School Counseling Mission Statement
    Every student has access to the John Handley High School’s equitable comprehensive School Counseling Program regardless of race, gender, home language, economic or cultural background. The program is dedicated to ensuring all students have access to holistic, student-centered support that promotes academic excellence, fosters personal growth, nurtures emotional well-being, and cultivates career and college readiness for all students. The counseling program aims to guide all students toward a brighter future and equip them with the tools to thrive in an ever-changing world.

    Attention Students
    To prevent missed instructional classroom time, all appointments will be confirmed by email from your counselor. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your appointment is not approved to come to the counseling office. Unless there is an emergency, you will be asked to return to class. (In the event your counselor is out of office, the counseling administrative assistant will email you.)
