Mrs. Scott received her Bachelors of Science in Fine Art from Eastern Mennonite University. She went on to work at James Madison University in the Ceramics Department for an additional year. Since graduation, Mrs. Scott has owned and operated her own studio, Lightning Bug Hollow Studios, where she has concentrated mainly on functional hand-thrown pottery and oil painting. Mrs. Scott began teaching in 2004 at Highland County Public Schools. She joined the Winchester Public School system in 2011.
