How will parents/guardians be informed of their student's progress?
Parents will receive regular communication from teachers in both WPS Connections and WPS 50/40 Hybrid consistent with the student's progress. Students will receive 4 1/2 week progress reports and quarterly report cards.

How will students gain assistance when they don’t understand what has been taught or assigned?
Teachers will monitor student progress through formative assessments and give feedback to students and parents as in a traditional classroom.
Teachers in the WPS Connections program will hold regular check-ins with students to make sure they are progressing along their learning path.

Will students have "live" instruction during distance learning?
Yes. Students will have interactions with teachers and classmates through our Google Meet platform on a regular basis. Sometimes, that will include short, 30 minute lessons and sometimes it might include a "check-in."

How will students be held accountable for work, assignments, participation?
Student's assignments will be assessed and graded weekly. Parents will be contacted for non-participation.

How will student work be graded?
Students will have established deadlines and be given grades for their assignments and assessments.

How often will teachers connect with students?
This will vary depending on student grade level. Schedules will be created by teachers and shared with families.

What is the role of the parent/guardian for WPS Connections?
As with all educational structures, parents/guardians will play an important role in the 100% distance learning framework. Their role will also vary depending on the age and ability of their child.
