Hi! I am excited to be part of Career & Technical Education as the Health and Medical Sciences: Mental Health teacher. I have been in the mental health industry for over 10 years, with both breadth and depth of experience in the mental health profession. I have worked in various healthcare settings as a counselor and administrator including college campuses, a large community mental health center, an integrative health clinic for uninsured/underinsured/marginalized communities, and as the Clinical Director of a substance use treatment center. In addition to diversity of treatment settings, I have experience providing mental health services to a diverse population of individuals as well. I hope that this knowledge and experience will bring a solid foundation to create an enriching learning experience through practical real-world knowledge.
