Associate's Degree in Nursing Registered Nurse
Mrs. Tiffany Markosky, RN
I am instructing the Nursing Aide I and Nursing Aide II classes as well as the Patient Care Technician class. I was born and raised in Winchester. I am a 2007 John Handley High School graduate. In my Senior year I took my Nursing Assistant class through JHHS and Shenandoah University; it was a dual enrollment course at that time. I attended Lord Fairfax Community College and earned my Associate's Degree in Nursing in May 2012. In 2007, after passing my CNA Certification exam I worked as a CNA for Valley Health's Winchester Medical Center for seven years; mostly on the Pulmonary Unit but I also helped to cover the Oncology, Renal, and GI Units as well. After earning my RN license I began working as a Registered Nurse at Winchester Medical Center's Cork Street Rehabilitation Unit in downtown Winchester, VA. I worked there for one year before joining Front Royal Family Practice as a Registered Nurse. I have enjoyed working with, and learning from, people of different backgrounds as well as different degree/license/certification levels. At Front Royal Family Practice I helped to develop and train new Certified Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and had a hand in helping to train Resident Physicians through the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program (through Front Royal Family Practice and VCU). In 2009, I did take a course as an Introduction to Teaching and did my Student Teaching placement at John Kerr Elementary School with a first grade class (what is now the Emil and Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center).
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a daughter. Our family also has a dog (a pitbull-husky mix) and a cat. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, going hiking, weightlifting, Aerial arts, drawing, and baking. I enjoy learning about healthy nutrition and try to implement that into my own life and balance it out with an active lifestyle.
