Mrs. Tiffany Markosky, RN

I am instructing the Nursing Aide I and Nursing Aide II classes as well as the Patient Care Technician class. I was born and raised in Winchester. I am a 2007 John Handley High School graduate. During my Senior year, I took my Nurse Aide class through JHHS and Shenandoah University; it was a dual enrollment course at that time. I attended Lord Fairfax Community College and earned my Associate's Degree in Nursing in May 2012. In 2007, after passing my Nurse Aide Certification exam, I worked as a CNA for Valley Health's Winchester Medical Center for seven years; mostly on the Pulmonary/Renal Unit. After earning my RN license, I began working as a Registered Nurse at Winchester Medical Center's Cork Street Rehabilitation Unit. I worked there for one year before joining Front Royal Family Practice as a Registered Nurse. I have enjoyed working with, and learning from, people of different backgrounds as well as different degree, license, and certification levels. At Front Royal Family Practice, I helped to develop and train new Certified Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and had a hand in helping to train Resident Physicians through the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program. The nurses utilized phlebotomy skills and used laboratory equipment at the family practice. I taught the Nurse Aide and Patient Care Technician programs at the Emil and Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center from 2021-2023 before returning to nursing for a year. I worked as a Lead Nurse for Shenandoah Valley Maternal Fetal Medicine. I am very excited to be back with students!

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a daughter together. Our family also has a dog and a cat. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, kayaking, weightlifting, boxing, learning MMA, indoor rock climbing, Barre/Pilates, Aerial arts, drawing, reading, and baking. I enjoy learning about healthy nutrition and I try to implement that into my own life and balance it out with an active lifestyle.
