Digital Learning Initiative Orientation and Check Out Form

All parents/guardians must participate in an orientation regarding the Digital Learning Initiative and Chromebooks. The orientation will be held during summer schedule pick-up days at the school. During orientation, Parents/Guardians must sign and return the Digital Learning Device Use Agreement before a Chromebook can be issued to the student.  Parents/guardians unable to attend can view the orientation video online and/or download a copy of the Digital Learning Device Use Agreement by clicking on the respective link at right. Agreement forms can also be picked up at the school and will be available during transfer/new student registration.

Distribution

Chromebooks will be distributed during the first few weeks of school for grades receiving them. The 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative is being implemented over a multi-year period beginning in the fall of 2015 starting with 6th grade.  As of the 2017-2018 school year all students in grades 6-12 have been issued a Chromebook as part of the 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative.

New Student Distribution

All transfer/new students participate in a school orientation. Both students and their parents/guardians must sign the WPS Digital Learning Device Use Agreement prior to picking up a Chromebook. Students will receive their Chromebooks from the technology department after their accounts have been created and the devices have been prepared for distribution.
