My name is Mr. Nelson. I grew up in the state of Maine (which is much colder than around here!) before attending Geneva College in western Pennsylvania. I graduated in May 2021 with a degree in Middle School Education and a concentration in English. This is my third year of teaching, but my first for 6th grade History, and I couldn't be more excited!

I enjoy both participating in and watching sports. I am the head coach for the Boys Cross Country and Boys Track and Field teams at Daniel Morgan Middle School. I also enjoy getting outside in whatever way I can, whether it's going on runs or hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

When I'm home, I love to both read and write. Nothing tops a well-told story, and human history is one of the craziest and most complex stories out there. I look forward to diving into that story with my classes this year!
