Mr. Prothero grew up in Fairfax, VA and attended James Madison University, where he was a member of the JMU Brass Band, Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, and Marching Royal Dukes. He is thrilled to call Winchester his new home, and loves learning new things about the city. At the Intermediate School, Mr. Prothero teaches Beginning and Intermediate band classes, and also teaches the Concert Band at the Middle school. 

Other professional activities include:

-Percussion Instructor at Millbrook High School (FCPS)

-Staff at Frederick County Music Camp

-Member of the Valley Wind Ensemble
