I’m very excited to be here at Daniel Morgan. It’s going to be a great year. I’ll tell you a little bit of my history. I grew up in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I went to college in Arizona and ended up living there for 9 years. I moved back to my hometown 6 years ago. This will be the start of my 10th year of teaching. I taught in Arizona for 4 years and in West Virginia for 5 years. Although this will be my first year teaching art, my passion has always been for the Visual Arts. I feel that art allows you to discover who you are in this world. It also serves as an outlet for expression. Art enables you to see the world from many different perspectives. It is my hope that students will learn a lot about who they are and who they want to be through their production of art this year. Students will find their weaknesses and strengths and build upon their knowledge to become more successful artists with each year.
