Hello! My name is Mr. Nelson. I grew up in the state of Maine (which is much colder than around here!) before attending Geneva College in western Pennsylvania. I graduated in May 2021 with a degree in Middle School Education and a concentration in English. This is my first year of teaching, and I'm excited to kick off my career at Daniel Morgan Intermediate School!

I enjoy both participating in and watching sports. I started running in Track and Field when I was six years old, and have dabbled in other sports as well, such as tennis and Ultimate Frisbee. I also enjoy getting outside in whatever way I can, whether it's going on runs or hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

When I'm home, I love to both read and write. Nothing tops a well-told story, and I think finding topics students are interested in is the key to students becoming lifelong readers and writers.
