Hello everyone! I am Syeda Zaidi. I will be teaching 5th ELA this school year at Daniel Morgan Intermediate. I am from New York and did my Undergraduate and Graduate School at the City College of New York College of Staten Island. I have started my career in 2019 in education and have taught grades PreK to 6th Grade. I have taught students in New York and Florida. I speak English and Urdu/Hindi. I am very grateful to have this incredible opportunity to educate students at Daniel Morgan Intermiate School.

A little bit about me: I am a huge classic rock/hard rock fan. I love to read books and my favorite books to read are true crime and poetry. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes and I love to explore the forests. I have an orange tabby cat named Lucy. I was born in Pakistan but raised in New York. My favorite food is pesto linguine. I love chai tea and matcha tea. My favorite season is Autumn.

Fun fact: I was in 3rd grade when I knew that I wanted to teach when I grew up. My teacher at the time inspired me to teach. She not only taught me reading, writing, math but she taught me to be kind, courageous and to lead by positive example.
