Hello all, I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and share how excited I am about this school year as it will be my first as a teacher.  I will be one of the 6th grade special education teachers who will be providing support to a number of our students in their math classes but previously I have been a behavior specialist providing TDT services in Frederick County Schools.

A little about me:

I grew up in Winchester Va and actually attended DMMS for 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  I went to college in the small town of Farmville Va and received a B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Longwood College.  After graduation I worked in northern Va as a recreation therapist for several years before making the decision to return to Winchester.  One of the most important factors in deciding to return to the area was my family as my mother, three younger brothers and their families live here as well.  I live not far from the DMMS campus with my wife and our young daughter.  When not in school I enjoy being outside with my family and taking care of our numerous "pets".
