Tuition Assistance
WPS supports professional growth by offering a tuition assistance program for benefit-eligible employees seeking college degrees (doctorate, masters, bachelors, and associates), certificates, General Equivalency Diplomas (GED), or additional training.
Tuition assistance is limited to budget funds available for the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Employees will be reimbursed 100% not to exceed $600 per course for a maximum amount of $1,800 per fiscal year after submitting required documentation.
Application Process
At the time you are registering for the course or training program, complete the WPS Tuition Assistant Program Application and submit it to Sharon Hurst in the Central Office.
After the application is reviewed, you will be notified of the approval status. If the application is approved, money will be held to reimburse you upon verified completion of the course or training program.
Upon completion of the course or training program, submit a copy of the receipt showing payment for the course and grade report to Sharon Hurst to request reimbursement.
Your reimbursement request will be processed and a hard copy check will be issued to you from the WPS Accounts Payable Department, according to the invoice cutoff schedule.
