Marie Imoh proudly serves as a member of the Winchester Public School Board and feels privileged to be a part of a community that values and invests in quality education for all. Marie served in the United States Army for 8 years and holds a Master’s degree in mental health counseling. She recently opened her own practice, "Wellness 8". This private practice offers mental health services via Outpatient and Community-Based programs, in addition to groups and educational workshops surrounding components of mental health and total wellness. She is the Assistant Site Director at National Counseling Group, a local organization providing Mental Health Services for individuals and families in Winchester and the surrounding cities. Marie believes that quality education should be accessible to all in spite of physical and mental health challenges. She believes that public education is perhaps the single common experience for most individuals, and that the success of the experience is often determined by the school district's commitment to the quality of their schools. Marie believes that public schools assumes a large responsibility for preparing students to contribute to their local communities, their cities and their ever evolving society.
