Ready4K Texts for Student Learning

dad and son

On Monday, October 3, elementary parents and caregivers will begin receiving text messages from Ready4K, a free tool that provides fun facts and easy-to-use tips on ways to help your children learn and grow. Every message is aligned with your child’s stage of development based on their grade. Each tip is built around everyday routines, like walking to the bus, doing laundry, or preparing a meal.

This data-driven platform is available free for WPS families through the John and Janice Wyatt Foundation (J2W), Winchester Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, and Handley Regional Library System. If you have children who are younger than school age, you can sign them up on the library website

After you begin receiving messages, you can stop them anytime by texting STOP to 70138. If you have additional questions or need help with the program, you can text HELP to 70138 or email the ParentPowered team at support@parentpowered.com

Thank you,

Winchester Public Schools
