   Teens' Top Ten 

The Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominations are posted on the Thursday of National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year. Readers ages twelve to eighteen will vote online between August 15 and October 16. The Top Ten Titles will be announced in October on the Teens' Top Ten site.

  Virginia Readers' Choice 

Sponsored by THE VIRGINIA STATE READING ASSOCIATION in association with THE VIRGINIA ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL LIBRARIANS, THE VIRGINIA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION& THE LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA YOUTH SERVICES. 

PURPOSE: To encourage young readers to become better acquainted with contemporary books with outstanding literary appeal, to broaden students’ awareness of literature as a life-long pleasure, to encourage reading aloud in classrooms as a means of introducing reading for pleasure, and to honor favorite books and their authors.

A winner will be announced for each level- Primary, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. The winning book will have gathered the highest number of votes in their category.   The deadline for voting for VRC books is April 30, 2021.  The winners will be announced in the Spring of each year.
