I have been working with children since 1992 starting out as a preschool teacher and have taught in Loudoun County in both the private and public schools, teaching Kindergarten, First and Third grade. I have been at Virginia Avenue since 2005 and taught first grade for 10 years. In 2015 I earned my ESOL Endorsement and have enjoyed working with our English Language Learners ever since. I am a life-long learner and enjoy the challenge of constantly learning something new that helps me improve the craft of teaching!  When I am not teaching, I enjoy gardening, yoga and hanging out with my family which includes four wonderful children that continue to keep me on my toes!
