Hello my name is Laura Baker-Anderle. I have been working with children since 1992 starting out as a preschool teacher and eventually earning my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1997. I have taught in Loudoun County in both the private and public schools, teaching Kindergarten, First and Third grade. I have been at Virginia Avenue since 2005 and taught first grade for 10 years. In 2015 I earned my ESOL Endorsement and have enjoyed working with our English Language Learners ever since. I have four children: a 21 year old step son, a senior at Millbrook High School, a junior at Handley and my 8 year old who attends Virginia Avenue. We love biking the C&O canal trail in Hancock Maryland and hiking. We also love playing music and have many instruments at home including a recent addition of a duclimer. When we are not outside or making music, we enjoy visiting the Re-Store for hidden treasures. My husband Keith is an artist and loves to "upcycle" old unwanted things into treasures. He is currently working on making lamps out of old and damaged musical instruments.
