Hello! I began teaching 1st grade here at Frederick Douglass right out of college in 2012 and fell in love! I hung out with first graders for 10 years before I took the leap into 4th grade. I love the dynamic of Winchester Public Schools and the families in our community are amazing! This school is such a special place that I even brought my sons to WPS to attend the Dual Language Program as well.
I was born and raised in the Winchester area and have never left this great community! In 2012, I graduated from Shenandoah University with a degree in University Studies with a minor in elementary education. I enjoy continuing my education by taking courses focused on reading or special education and have enjoyed sharing teaching strategies with other teachers as a Master Reach Teacher.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and our sons. If we can, we love spending time outdoors, exploring, fishing and enjoying the Shenandoah River.
