Hello! I am excited to be a part of the Special Education department here at FDES! I have a background in social work from Middle Tennessee State University. After I graduated, I provided case management for child protective services clients in Tennessee, where I grew up. When I moved to Virginia in 2016, I began my career in special education. I served as a registered behavior technician providing ABA services to clients at a private school. After a couple of years, I had an opportunity to go back to school. I received my Master's Degree in Special Education K-12. I've been teaching ever since! I bake, crochet, quilt, and spend time with my two orange cats when I am not at school. The community here at FDES is wonderful and I am delighted to be a part of it!
