Ms. Kristy Strader is excited to join the FDES team for the 2024-2025 school year as a third grade reading language arts teacher.  Ms. Strader taught for 21 years previously at Sandy Hook Elementary in Shenandoah County.  Her first 10 years were with the k-5 special education population and the last 11 were spent teaching 3rd grade regular education.

Ms. Strader has two sons, Jordan who is 23 years old and Trent who is 17 and will be a senior in high school this year!  She also has the cutest French Bulldog on the planet, Phoebe.

Loves:  Pittsburgh Steelers, Duck Donuts, Dunkin Iced Coffee and hiking.
