I am excited to teach ESOL at Frederick Douglass Elementary School! I attended James Madison University for both undergraduate and Master's degrees. After teaching for eight years, I took classes through the University of Virginia and University of Richmond to add the ESL endorsement to my PreK-6 teaching license. I love teaching all kids, but there is a special place in my heart for the English learners I have taught for over eight years. Helping each child realize their potential is both my goal and my favorite part of being a teacher. I look forward to building relationships with the students and families of the FDES community.
I was born in Pennsylvania and lived in New York, but I love living in Winchester. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have two kids who keep me busy, but I like to take time to explore new places, take pictures, and expand my crafting abilities.
