This is currently my 18th year of teaching. I began my teaching career in the middle school teaching sixth grade mathematics at Signal Knob Middle School in Shenandoah County. After five years there, I transitioned into the elementary classroom here in Winchester City. I have taught fourth grade, third grade and most recently, second grade! This will be my first year in first grade and I am so excited to teach your child during the upcoming school year!

I enjoy teaching students to have a love of reading for life and also relating math concepts to the real world! I also enjoy teaching science and social studies, again with an emphasis on STEM and STEAM projects! 

I grew up in Pennsylvania and love anything to do with Pittsburgh sports. In my free time I enjoy sewing, scrapbooking and DIY projects. On the side, I also take photographs of people and families for special events in their lives. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and love a good Starbucks drink!
