Hello, I am Mr. Aguilar Chavez, entering my fourth year as an ESOL educator at Frederick Douglass Elementary. I derive immense satisfaction from my role within my school, as it allows me to immerse myself in the cultures of our students and visiting teachers while further refining my proficiency in the Spanish language. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and completed my pedagogical training at the University of Virginia. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy exercising at the gym, embarking on hiking expeditions, and reading up on history and politics to enrich my knowledge.
