Hello! My name is Rita Peters.  I was born and raised in Winchester, Va.  I am a former Winchester Public School student, attending all 12 years and graduating from John Handley High School.   I attended Lord Fairfax Community College where I received my 2-year Associate's Degree. I transferred to Shepherd University and then to Cal State San Bernandino and received my 4-year degree in Elementary Education.  I then continued my education and received a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist from Shenandoah University.   I began my career at Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary in 2007.  I have taught third grade, second grade and Kindergarten.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, reading, the beach and the lake.
