It was a proud night for WPS at United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony in February! 

 

John Handley High School senior Emily Lopez Bonilla won the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award, presented to an outstanding student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping others and who serves as an example to their peers.

 

Our very own Superintendent, Dr. Jason Van Heukelum, won the Todd Thompson Volunteer of the Year Award, presented to an outstanding local volunteer whose individual commitment to helping others exemplifies the tradition and spirit of caring.
