Hello.  My name is Jim Deignan and this will be my 28th year teaching children.  I began my career as an English teacher at Warren County High School in 1997 and taught English and Journalism.  From 2000 to 2015, I worked at Clarke County High School, where I taught English 12, IB English 12, Philosophy, Theory of Knowledge, and Journalism.  I received my degree in Special Education in 2015, and taught special education English and Civics at  Aylor Middle School for  7 years.   I have taught at Daniel Morgan Middle School since 2022.

I live in Stephens City, Virginia with my wife and 3 children, and our 3 dogs.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, fishing, going to the beach, and listening to music.  I also play guitar.
