Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am honored to be the Principal of Daniel Morgan Middle School where learning together happens every day. We place a great deal of importance on building positive relationships, a sense of community, and participation in extracurricular opportunities.
At Daniel Morgan Middle, our focus is on empowering our students to achieve academic success by providing engaging educational experiences. This year we will continue to focus on implementing PBL (Project Based Learning) and Balanced Literacy into our instructional practice. Additionally, an emphasis is placed on meeting their physical, social, and emotional needs. We strive to help our students manage their emotions, resolve conflicts effectively, and make responsible decisions. Daniel Morgan Middle will continue to utilize the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) model to improve our school climate and student conduct.
A great deal of our success depends on the active involvement of our students’ parents and guardians. We encourage you to get involved and stay involved and be a partner with us.
Your consistent and clear communication is critical in promoting the best learning experiences for your child. Please do not hesitate to contact me personally. I strive to be easily accessible to parents and value your input. I am confident that we will work together to ensure that our students have the skills necessary to succeed both in the classroom and in life.
