    Mr. Roark will be working with the 7th grade team this school year 2021-2022. This is his eighth year at DMMS.

  • David Scott, Asst. Principal

    David Scott

    Mr. Scott worked at John Kerr Elementary School and John Handley High School from 2009-2017 and is returning to WPS after 5 years at John Champe High School (JCHS) in Loudoun County. 
    During his career, Mr. Scott served as a Kinesiology and Health teacher at the elementary level and a Health, Physical Education, and Driver’s Education teacher at the high school level. His most recent roles at JCHS include Special Projects Administrator, Interim Assistant Principal, and Student Engagement and Activities Coordinator. Mr. Scott has led attendance and discipline initiatives with an emphasis on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
    Mr. Scott coached the Handley wrestling team from 2009-2017. He continued coaching in Loudoun County. 

    -Masters in Administration and Supervision from Shenandoah University
    -Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology/Health Teacher Education from West Virginia University
