Great Works
The PTO jumped right into the new school year with a HUGE fundraiser with Great American to support each of the four grades field trips. Hurricane Harvey left a huge devastation to many Texas communities, including countless schools. The DM community immediately adopted 3 Texas schools severely impacted by the devastation left in the wake of Harvey via the Principal to Principal connection. Our dear volunteers packed 74 moving boxes and sent $1,145 to the Dr. E.R. Richter Elementary School in Dayton, Texas and sent $2,250 divided between 2 schools, North Shore Middle School and Travis Intermediate School.
The DM PTO co-hosted a Cyber Safety Seminar with Handley High School PTO to bring to light the importance of technology safety for our students.
During teacher conference night, the PTO was able to provide a buffet dinner for all of our staff and teachers to show our appreciation for all they do on a daily basis for all of our students.
