Experience

Ms. Di Giovanni began her career as an art teacher at Daniel Morgan Middle School. For the past nine years, she has taught art at John Handley High School. She is a certified Deep Equity trainer and has been a member of the Winchester Public Schools Equity Team for 9 years. She led the JHHS PBIS team for the past two years.

Education

Ms. Di Giovanni earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Art Education and her Master's degree from Shenandoah University in Educational Administration/Leadership.

Mr. Smith is a Winchester Public Schools alumnus and has been in education for 19 years.  He taught Geometry, Earth Science II, World History I, VA & US History, US Government, and special education, and he coached softball for the first 17 years of his career before coming home to WPS as the Diversity Recruitment & Retention Specialist in 2022.
