Welcome to John Kerr Elementary School! We are a diverse and caring school community with a staff wholly dedicated to working collaboratively with our families, students and each other to foster a love of learning in a nurturing environment where all students belong and are valued for their individual strengths and talents.
At John Kerr Elementary School we are committed to developing the whole child, thereby, ensuring our students are prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow’s rapidly changing, increasingly diverse, and interconnected world. Daily, students are provided learning experiences that allow for growth as a communicator, collaborator, global citizen, creative and critical thinker and goal-directed and resilient individual. Beyond what is happening in classrooms, students are offered unique STEAM and Makerspace electives which open multiple pathways to explore their learning passions through digital experiences and collaborative projects.
I am humbled and honored to be the principal of John Kerr Elementary School. It is an incredibly special school made so by the positive partnerships developed with our families, students and staff. And, it is those partnerships that ensure our students are learning at the highest levels. As always, our families are encouraged to be positive partners in their children’s educational journey through PTO membership, serving as a classroom, cafeteria or recess volunteer and attending special events. I look forward to continuing to work with you to ensure our students are happy, healthy and engaged in learning that prepares them to soar to success as Kerr Cardinals and in life.
Warmly,
Kim Pryor, Ed.S.
