Elementary Learning Schedule for Inclement Weather Days
In the event of school cancelation due to inclement weather (otherwise known as a Snow Day), elementary students in PreK through 4th grade will participate in an asynchronous learning plan.
PreK-4th grade students will NOT participate in virtual Google Meets on Snow Days this school year.
Each grade level will send home a paper/pencil "Snow Day" packet. The packet will be sent home prior to any Snow Days.
Students should complete one sheet (front and back) of their Snow Day paper/pencil packet and read independently or with an adult for at least 15 minutes each Distance Learning Snow Day.
Paper Snow Day packets only need to be completed when the WPS Inclement Weather Plan includes Distance Learning for students. Paper packets do NOT have to be completed if it is a true Snow Day without Distance Learning.
If you have any questions regarding the Snow Day packets, please contact your child's teacher via Talking Points.
Students should return their completed Snow Day sheet to their teacher the next in-person school day in order to receive credit for their work.
Here are electronic copies of the paper packets for each grade level, in case your paper copy was misplaced.
