FDES Kids Heart Challenge

Our 2020-2021 Heart Healthy Heroes with two cartoon hearts giving high fives

The FDES Kids Heart Challenge will take place during the month of November.  The Kids Heart Challenge is a fun and exciting event where students learn about their heart while helping others by raising money for the American Heart Association.

The event will start November 6, and the students will participate in new challenges each week.  First is jump rope, then dance, followed by basketball, and on our actual event day on November 23 and 24 there will be an obstacle course set up in the gym.  All students who donate $50 will have the opportunity to slime Mr. D.

During the month of November in PE, your child will be choosing activities such as dance, basketball, and jump rope.  We will be teaching them the importance of drinking water, moving more, and participating in acts of kindness.  At the end of the event before Thanksgiving, there will be an obstacle course for the students to complete.  As we approach our event, I am asking that you please register your child for the Kids Heart Challenge event.

Out goal this year is not donations.  Our goal is to have 100% of our students register online.  Students who register for this event will receive a red wristband for participation.  Here is a guide to get started with the Kids Heart Challenge.
