Stewart Bell Award Nominations Now Open

The Stewart Bell Excellence in Teaching Award will be given to a teacher, librarian, guidance counselor or other certified professional person who is not an administrator in Winchester Public Schools. The honoree is a person who has excelled at encouraging and stimulating student learning and the development of the student's fullest academic and personal potential.

The annual award is intended to honor an educator who meets the following criteria:

-Successfully reveals to the students the nature and possibilities of the world in which they live.

-Helps maturing students discover their own interests, strengths and weaknesses.

-Challenges each student to adopt standards and goals for a productive life suitable to their interests and capabilities. 

-Assists and motivates students to develop accordingly.

The 2024 recipient will be selected from Daniel Morgan Middle School

Only nominees from DMMS will be considered in 2024. The award will be presented at convocation in August.
