Malloy Toyota Donates $30K for STEM Kits
Malloy Toyota has generously donated $30,000 towards providing preschool through fourth-grade students with their own take-home Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) kits. The kits provide an alternative to learning online and were selected to correlate with each grade level's science Standards of Learning. An extra kit was purchased at each grade level for the Connections teachers so that, once the students have the kits at home, the Connections teachers can model how to use the materials.
Malloy Auto donated approximately $3,000 worth of supplies to Frederick Douglass Elementary School last year, and Group Chief Operating Officer Evelyn Akers hopes to continue this partnership with WPS moving forward.
Many thanks to Malloy Toyota for providing a learning resource for our students that enhances our in-person and online learning opportunities this year!
