JKES Author Visits

Author VisitsThe METRICS Team at JKES and GQES has partnered with The Shenandoah University Children's Literature Conference to offer some great Computer Science authors the week of May 23rd.

On Wednesday, May 25th, guest author, Josh Funk, will host a special assembly for students in 3rd and 4th grade.  On
Thursday, May 26, guest author, Linda Liukus, will present to Grades K-2nd. 

All students will be getting a copy of a Computer Science book as part of these special author visits.  Please see the titles of the free books below.

Grade K-Adventures in Coding
Grade 1 - Expedition to the Internet
Grade 2 - Journey Inside the Computer
Grade 3 - How to Code A Sandcastle
Grade 4 - How to Code a Roller Coaster

In addition, students and families are invited to visit the Shenandoah University Campus on Tuesday, May 31st from 6-8PM a Book Walk, Computer Science Activities, and ice cream truck and more.  Please see the Metrics Family Event webpage for more information.
