JKES Global School Play Day

Global School Play Day was celebrated across the globe on Feb. 6th, 2019.  This was the second annual Global School Play Day.  The purpose of the event is to encourage unstructured play among students.  For more information regarding Global Play Day, please visit the Global School Play Day website.  

Due to weather and scheduling, Ms. Osborne and Dr. LaBombard Daniels choice to celebrate Global Play Day during Library and STEAM classes from Feburary 4th-15th.

In library, students explored some of the new library makerspace activities, including a Lego Challenge, Keva planks, arts and crafts, and wooden marble runs from Germany. 

Other classroom teachers celebrated Gloabl Play Day on Feb. 6th in their own classes by playing board games, building with toys, and much more.
