Parent Liaison Recognized

Nohemy Zamitiz, Parent Liaison at Daniel Morgan Middle School, was one of five women recognized in a ceremony in the Health and Life Sciences Building at Shenandoah Univeristy on Friday, August 2.   Rafael Laveaga, Chief of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, DC, conducted the ceremony which highlighted efforts to connect our growing local Hispanic and Latino population with consular services.

Other women recognized were Karen Kennedy Schultz, director of the Center for Public Service and Scholarship at Shenandoah Univeristy (as well as a former chairman of the Winchester Public School Board); Tracy Fitzsimmons, president of Shenandoah Univeristy; Sharon Gromling, Executive director of Our Health; and Mary Falu, administrative assistant at Our Health.
