VACDES Author Visit

VACDES Author Visit:
Award winning author Andrea Pinkney visited students at VACDES.  She is a New York Times bestselling author of numerous books for children and adults.  She has written many picture books, novels, and works of historical fiction. Pinkney is the writer and illustrator of more than 100 books, most of them for children, many of them about African-American history

She is visiting VACDES in celebration Women’s History Month.  She has been named one of the “25 Most Influential Black Women in Business” by The Network Journal.

All students receive an autographed copy of one of her books. They are listed below.
