At its April 22, 2019, meeting the Winchester School Board appointed rising seniors Tori Stanford and Elliot Eyre as student representatives to the School Board for the 2019-20 school year.
Students were selected from a robust pool of applicants by a school-based selection committee and were recommended to the superintendent for appointment.
Tori is a 2019 Handley Scholar, and received a Handley Pride Award in 2018. Extra-curricular activities include Student Government Association, National Honor Society, DECA, Debate Team, Volleyball Team and Outdoor Track Team.
Elliot is a District and State Choir Delegate, has lettered and pinned in choir and has received the Handley Pride Award 13 times. Extra-curricular activities include Choir Council President, Drama Club president, Acapella Club, Interact Club, Music (5 instruments), tennis and soccer.
The School Board also recognized James Morrison and Gina Alfred, the 2018-19 student representatives, for their willingness, dedication, and contributions while serving on the WPS School Board.
