Mrs. Sherie Dearth

Mrs. Dearth is currently in her 29th year of teaching.  She initially started her teaching career at Luray Elementary in Page County, Virginia.  She taught in a LD self-contained classroom from 1987-1989.  In  1989, Mrs. Dearth came to Winchester Public Schools.  She worked at John Kerr Elementary from 1989-2011.  She was a LD resource teacher there.  She served in various leadership roles while at John Kerr: Child Study Chair, Special Education Team Leader, and Educational Diagnostician. In 2011, Mrs. Dearth transferred to Daniel Morgan.  She currently co-teaches in three  6th grade English inclusion classes with Mrs. Burton.  She serves on the Building Leadership Team, the Threat Assessment Team, and is the 6th Grade Team Leader.

She is a proud graduate of T.C. Williams High School, Class of 1983!! Mrs. Dearth graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 1987 with her Bachelors Degree in Science with a concentration in Special Education. She graduated from James Madison University with her Masters in Education with concentration in Learning Disabilities in 1993.
