Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Patricia Hollins

Hello!  My name is Pat Hollins, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 27th year teaching!  I grew up in this lushly, beautiful Shenandoah Valley and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts degree from Eastern Mennonite College in 1991 and a Master of Education in Literacy degree from Eastern Mennonite University in 1999.  I began my teaching career at Warren County Middle School where I taught 7th grade English and Virginia History for two years and 8th Grade English and Journalism for two years.  My family and I then moved to Buena Vista, Virginia where I taught 1st Grade for four years.  In 2001, we relocated to Winchester where I have been teaching ever since.      After spending 16 years at John Kerr Elementary School (taught Kindergarten for three years and third grade for 13), I became the 4th grade ACE Center teacher at Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary School.  This is our second year with this program.  Additionally, I am the co-sponsor of our Garden Club.

I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, playing board and card games, and spending time with my family, including my fur babies.
