This marks my sixth year of teaching. I previously taught first grade for three years in Culpeper County, Virginia and taught first grade at John Kerr for one year. I am now in my second year of teaching second grade and couldn't be more content.
Throughout my education, from preschool to college, I encountered many phenomenal educators. I also grew up with the perfect role model of an educator - my mother. She has been teaching in private and public schools all throughout her life. I made the decision to become an educator after I completed my freshman year at James Madison University.
I live in Woodstock, Virginia with my husband (Andrew), rescue dog (Scully), and siberian cats (Alex & Cora). Although I do have a decent commute, I reside near much-loved family members. I recently acquired my motorcycle license and try my best not to pass up a ride on a sunny day.
