I grew up in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. My husband and I moved to Winchester from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2000. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kent State University and a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
I taught 3rd grade in Frederick County Public Schools for 15 years. I started teaching at Frederick Douglass in 2015. All of my years in education, other than one year in 4th grade, have been spent with third graders! I currently serve as the Gifted Chair Person for FDES and hold a local endorsement in gifted education.
I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with my family, being outdoors, and being active! I have two boys that keep me constatntly moving. We like to swim, hike, run, and travel together!
