Hola familia Panda!
I am from Santiago, Chile, a long and narrow country in South America. Chile is recognized for its beautiful Andes Mountains, the Atacama desert, which is the driest place on Earth, and the magical Easter Island.
I have a 14-year-old son and I am married.
I love teaching with all my heart. But I also consider myself a life-long learner. I have a BS degree in English Literature and Linguistics as well as a BS degree in teaching English as a foreign language and in Elementary Education. Last year, I completed a Master's degree in Elementary Education at Greensboro College.
I have been teaching for 22 years. I have taught different grade levels, but I have taught 4th grade the longest.
I am very excited about being part of the Dual Language program at FDES as well as promoting global education among my students.
I enjoy reading, drawing, and painting. I am not good at sports but I really enjoy hiking, especially in the forest and even the mountains. I also enjoy travelling.
