My name is Lisa-Marie Sihler and teach 6th grade math. I am a graduate student of James Madison University. I graduated in 2012 with my Bachelor's of Science and in 2013 with my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education, PreK-6 with an Algebra I endorsement.
This is will be my 7th year teaching. I taught 4th grade for 2 years at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Strasburg, VA, taught 8th grade math for 2 years at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School in Woodstock, VA, and taught 6th grade math for 2 years here at DMIS. I have worked with children with social, emotional, physical and learning disabilities. I have taught students on the autism spectrum, with ADD/ADHD, with emotion disorders, with cerebral palsy, and ELL students.
I was born in Germany and had several thrilling abroad experiences in Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. I currently live with my husband, infant son, 2 dogs, 3 rats, and 7 guinea pigs on the Shenandoah River.
