Assistant Superintendent

As an educator for over a decade, Ms. Buckley started her career as a 3rd grade teacher, followed by several years as a Literacy Coach at the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center. She took on her first Principal role at Capon Bridge Elementary School in West Virginia, followed by her appointment as Principal of Daniel Morgan Middle School from 2016-2022. Ms. Buckley previously served as the Director of Student Services prior to be appointed Assistant Superintendent.

I recognize the hustle of the every day, the importance of building relationships, and the belief that, together, we can optimize our students’ achievement. My move into this new role will afford me the opportunity to broaden my reach across the school division. I look forward to   working closely with division and school leaders to ensure that our schools have every resource necessary to meet the diverse needs of our students.”

Ms. Buckley obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English and Master’s degrees in Reading and Elementary Education from West Virginia University and her Educational Leadership Certification from Salem   International University. She is currently working on her Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction.
